Summer has officially arrived in Vancouver. It’s hot! 30 degrees plus humidity. I find myself hiding indoors in the shade, in front of the fan waiting for that 2-3 degree drop in temperature that will allow me to get on my bike.

Had an excellent time in Portland, OR. What a great city. Known as “Bike City USA.” Wonderful to see so many cyclists, separate signage for bikes and bike lanes on many city streets. The streetcar lines that travel through the downtown core are also free. Free! Vancouver could take a few lessons from this fair city. We’ve seen some improvements in the past year and a bit – bike lanes downtown & on bridges – but don’t stop there please.
