I’m excited to announce that I’ll be releasing Coda, the 3rd single from my forthcoming album (The Song I’ll Write for My Whole Life) on Friday, Aug 14th.

‘Coda’ is a hopeful song despite the lyrics giving you a punch in the gut. It’s really big music sonically while being an intimate song lyrically. The banjitar & rhythmic yearning of the melody give the song an upbeat, folksy Sesame Street singalong feel. The song captures the complexity of our precarious modern life, through the universally relatable experience of a lover’s despair: “When the light goes out in your eyes, it’s like a star falling from the sky.”

An official music video, created by Victoria-based documentary filmmaker Paulina Ortlieb, will also be premiered.  Stay tuned for details!
