Tony Porter is an educator and activist who’s internationally recognized for his work to end violence against women & is the co-founder of the nonprofit A Call to Men: The National Association of Men and Women Committed to Ending Violence Against Women. He delivered a TED Talk earlier this month titled “A Call to Men” that is a must-watch.

There aren’t really many words I could write here that would do justice to the importance and the power of his talk. I will say that his central metaphor of the “man box” as something that oppresses both women AND men is revolutionary. This should be required content in every classroom at high school and university and in every workplace.
