Sarah Greene

Sarah Greene is a songwriter, writer and music journalist from Toronto. Her songs are intimate, concise and idiosyncratically classic. Working in warm, soulful folk-rock ballads, Greene examines loneliness, vulnerability, and the tugging poles of freedom and attachment in her songs. She released two recordings as the frontwoman of mid-2000s Toronto alt-country darlings The Pickups before putting out her debut solo album, Toronto Blues, in 2011. She is currently working on writing and recording songs for a sophomore album, collaborating with a colourful cast of Toronto (and ex-Toronto) musicians, including pianist Michael Holt (The Mommyheads), Paul Kolinski (Heavy On The Willie) and singer/songwriter Abigail Lapell.

Will Gillespie

Born and raised in South Porcupine, Northern Ontario, now finding a home in Hamilton, Will Gillespie has developed an elegant and eccentric sound all his own. He is a dynamic performer with a diverse catalogue of original songs, combining elements of Folk, Rock & Roll and Cabaret.

With whimsical and exuberant performances and thoughtfully crafted songs, Will Gillespie has been described as a “one-of-a-kind, finger-picking, old-time crooning, genuine songwriter you absolutely MUST see perform” (Matt Thompson, Musician) with “the soul of a modern folk jazz troubadour…songs unfurl in the unadorned, unhurried way that is the mark of a true master artist…” (Colin Gibson, Audio Reckoning).

It’s been said “his music has the ability to speak deeply to absolutely ANYBODY” – (Jeremy Brazeau, Cambrian College)

“from songwriter to crooner and cabaret man to power pop genius, Will Gillespie is always evolving his artistry” – (Paul Loewenberg, Artistic Director, Northern Lights Festival Boreal).
