On June 1st, I visited Margaret Gallagher host of CBC Vancouver Radio’s North by Northwest to talk about my love of bees and about the various remixes of my song ‘Vanishing of Bees’. I loved being on the show and am also delighted that new people discovered my music by listening! Margaret generously played a number of my songs on air.

I noticed a bump in my Shazam stats and an increase in my streaming stats for the songs that were played on the show. My songs were Shazamed 25 times during the 20 minute show. Love it!

For those of you unfamiliar with what Shazam is…It’s an app used to identify what music you’re hearing on the radio, in a store, on your device, etc. So, if you hear a song on the radio you really like but don’t know what it is, you can use the Shazam app to identify it. Cool huh?
